Cookie Policy of to-teach.ai

This document informs users about the technologies that to-teach.ai uses to achieve the purposes described below. These technologies enable access to or storage of information (e.g., through the use of cookies) on the user’s device or use the device’s data processing capabilities when the user accesses or runs to-teach.ai.

For simplicity, such technologies are referred to as “Trackers” within this document, unless there is a reason to differentiate them.
For example, although cookies can be used in both web and mobile browsers, they are not applicable in mobile apps that are not browser-based. Therefore, in this document, the term “cookie” is only used when specifically referring to that type of Tracker.

Some of the processing purposes for which Trackers are used require the user’s consent. Once given, permission can be revoked freely at any time following the instructions provided in this document.

To-teach.ai uses both first-party Trackers (also known as “first-party Trackers”) and third-party Trackers in connection with third-party services (also known as “third-party Trackers”). Unless otherwise specified in this document, such third parties also have access to the Trackers they manage.
The duration and expiry of cookies and other similar Trackers depend on the lifetime set by the provider or the respective third-party provider. Some of them expire once the user’s browsing session ends.
To obtain more precise and up-to-date information on the lifespan, as well as other information (e.g., regarding the use of additional Trackers), users can refer to the descriptions in the categories listed below, or consult the linked privacy policies of the corresponding third-party providers or contact the provider directly.

Why do we use cookies?

We use four types of cookies:

  • Necessary cookies Necessary cookies are required for the basic functionality of the website. They only contain technically necessary cookies, and they cannot be deactivated.
  • Cookies for functional purposes Functional cookies are required to provide extended website features beyond the essential functionality, such as prettier fonts, video playback, or interactive Web 2.0 features. Content from, for example, video or social media platforms is blocked by default and can be enabled by giving consent. When consent is given for these services, the content is automatically loaded without requiring any further manual consent.
  • Cookies for Marketing Marketing services are used by us and third parties to track the behavior of individual visitors (across multiple pages), analyze the data collected, and, for example, display personalized advertising. These services allow us to track visitors across different websites.

How to Manage Preferences

Tracker settings can be managed in various ways:

Users can manage their Tracker settings directly via their device settings, for example, by objecting to the use or storage of Trackers entirely.

Furthermore, users can set their preferences in the cookie notice or by updating their preferences through the corresponding privacy preference consent widget (if available).

Using the relevant browser or device settings, previously stored Trackers can be deleted, including those responsible for saving the user’s original consent preferences.

Other Trackers stored in the browser’s local storage can be removed by deleting the history.

For all third-party Trackers, users can manage their settings by using the relevant opt-out link (if available), following the instructions provided in the third party’s privacy policy, or by contacting the third party.

Manage Tracker Settings

For example, users can find information on managing cookies in the most popular browsers at the links below:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Brave
  • Opera

Users can also manage certain Trackers found in mobile apps via their device settings – for example, the device settings for advertising on mobile devices, or general tracking settings (users can open the device settings to find the relevant command).

How to Opt Out of Interest-Based Advertising

In addition, users are advised to follow the instructions provided byYourOnlineChoices(EU and UK),Network Advertising Initiative(US), and theDigital Advertising Alliance(US),DAAC(Canada),DDAI(Japan) or other similar services. These initiatives allow users to set their tracking preferences for almost all advertising tools. The provider therefore recommends that users, in addition to the information provided in this document, also make use of these tools.

The Digital Advertising Alliance provides theAppChoicesapplication to control interest-based advertising in mobile apps.

Consequences of Refusing the Use of Trackers

Users are free to decide whether to grant their consent for the use of Trackers or not. However, it should be noted that Trackers enable to-teach.ai to provide a better user experience and more advanced features (in line with the purposes described in this document). If the user decides to block the use of Trackers, the provider may not be able to provide the corresponding functions.
