Writing an email
In this worksheet, you will learn how to write an email. In your first task, put the elements of an email in the correct order.
Put the different parts of the email in the correct order.

Structure of an email
An email has several important parts.
- The subject (Betreff) tells the reader what the email is about, like "Subject: Hello from Your New Friend."
- The greeting (Anrede) is how you greet the person you are writing to, such as "Hi Max,".
- The introduction (Einleitung) follows, where you say why you are writing the email, or where you introduce yourself, for example, "My name is Anna."
- In the main body (Hauptteil) you share more information and ask questions: "I am 11 years old and I live in Berlin. I like to play football and read books. What do you like to do? I am happy to be your friend. We can write emails and learn English together."
- We end with the closing (Schluss), where you say goodbye and sign your name, such as "Write back soon! Best wishes, Anna." Each part helps make the email clear and friendly.
