Hey everyone! I'm Jake, and today we're starting our epic family road trip across Canada! We’re kicking things off from our home in Toronto. It's going to be awesome exploring the Great White North!
First up, we'll head to Niagara Falls. My little sister Lily and I are super pumped to get soaked on the Maid of the Mist boat tour. I heard the views are absolutely breathtaking!
After that, we're off to Ottawa. We plan to check out the Parliament Hill and maybe even see the Changing of the Guard. There's a cool museum called the Canadian Museum of Nature where we can learn about dinosaurs and other cool stuff!
Next, we'll drive west to Montreal. I'm excited for some thrilling rides at La Ronde amusement park. Lily can’t wait to try all the cotton candy!
Our last stop is Quebec City before heading home. I can't wait to explore the historic Old Quebec and maybe try some poutine!
Catch you later for more fun adventures!

17th August – Thrills and History in Ottawa!
Hey guys! It's Jake again, checking in from Ottawa. We made it here after an epic journey from Niagara Falls. Let me tell you, being in the car with my family for hours is a mix of fun and chaos! Lily kept asking, "Are we there yet?" every five minutes, but we had some cool breaks. We grabbed burgers at a roadside diner, and Dad told us about the Trans-Canada Highway, which is one of the longest national highways in the world!
Niagara Falls was amazing! The Maid of the Mist boat tour was wet and wild, and the roar of the falls was like thunder in our ears. Now in Ottawa, we got to see the impressive Parliament Hill. The Changing of the Guard was neat; their uniforms are so bright and sharp!
We also visited the Canadian Museum of Nature. I never knew Canada had such a rich history with dinosaurs – they even found some fossils here! It's incredible to think about these massive creatures roaming around millions of years ago.
Ottawa is full of history and charm. Tomorrow, we might catch a glimpse of the Rideau Canal, which freezes in winter to become the world's largest skating rink. Can't wait for more adventures ahead! Catch you later!

20th August – Montreal Magic!
Hey everyone! Jake here, reporting from the vibrant city of Montreal! We've been cruising along the Trans-Canada Highway, soaking up the sights and sounds of this incredible country. The drive from Ottawa was a blast, and guess what? Lily only asked "Are we there yet?" ten times this time!
Montreal is like a whole new world! Yesterday, we hit up La Ronde amusement park, and it was a total adrenaline rush. I braved the roller coasters, and Lily was all about the cotton candy and carousel rides. The park is huge, and each ride was more thrilling than the last!
Today, we explored Old Montreal. The cobblestone streets and historic architecture make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Did you know Montreal is named after Mount Royal, the triple-peaked hill in the city? It’s such a cool fact!
We even tried some Montreal-style bagels, which are smaller and sweeter than the ones back home. Delicious! I’m loving the mix of French and English here; it adds such a unique flavor to everything.
Next up, we’re heading to Quebec City. I can’t wait to dive into more history and, of course, try some poutine! Catch you later for more adventures!

Hey everyone! Jake here, chiming in from the beautiful Quebec City! Our road trip continues to be epic, and after soaking up Montreal's vibes, we've landed in this charming city. Quebec City feels like a storybook town with its cobblestone streets and old-world architecture. It's like stepping into a different era!
Yesterday, we explored Old Quebec, and it was magical. The historic buildings and fortifications are so fascinating, especially the iconic Château Frontenac, which looks like a castle straight out of a fairy tale! Did you know it's one of the most photographed hotels in the world? It's easy to see why!
Today, we indulged in some delicious poutine, and let me tell you, the combination of fries, cheese curds, and gravy is unbeatable! Lily tried it for the first time and loved it, saying it was "the best thing ever!"
We also took a stroll along the Dufferin Terrace, which offers stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. The breeze was refreshing, and the scenery was breathtaking.
