Simple Present

Objective:

Learners will learn how to form and use the simple present tense and complete exercises to deepen their understanding.

Content and methods:

Learners will read information on how to use the tense and what to consider when forming verb forms. Afterwards, they will complete several exercises, such as multiple choice questions with different verb forms and a drag & drop exercise. They will also form simple present verb forms themselves, figure out the sequence of the different elements of a sentence in the simple present and complete a dictation exercise.

Wie verwende ich das simple present?

Verwendung

Das simple present drückt Fakten, aufeinanderfolgende und wiederholte Handlungen sowie festgelegte zukünftige Ereignisse aus. Wir verwenden das simple present für:


  • Ereignisse, die regelmäßig oder gewohnheitsmäßig stattfinden (mit Signalwörtern)
  • Ereignisse, die nacheinander stattfinden,
  • Fakten oder Dinge, die allgemeingültig sind,
  • zukünftige Handlungen, die geplant und vorbestimmt sind,
  • statische Verben und Verben des Denkens/Gedächtnisses.


Signalwörter

Dies hier sind Signalwörter fürs simple present:

always, normally, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, never, every day/week/month etc.

Wie bilde ich Formen im simple present?

Um das simple present zu bilden, fügst du bei Verben in der dritten Person Singular (he/she/it) ein "-s" bzw. "-es" am Ende ein. In allen anderen Fällen ändert sich das Verb nicht.
