My Amazing Summer Break

Hi everyone! I’m Alex, and I just started 8th grade. I wanted to share what I did during my summer break. It was super fun and filled with lots of cool activities.

First, I went to a summer camp for two weeks. It was my first time going to camp, and I was a bit nervous at first. But I made some awesome new friends and tried lots of new things like kayaking, archery, and even a high ropes course. The counselors were really nice and we had campfires every night where we sang songs and roasted marshmallows. It was the best!

After camp, I spent some time with my family. We went on a road trip to the mountains, which was so beautiful. We hiked almost every day and saw some amazing wildlife, including a family of deer. We also visited a cool science museum where I got to see a planetarium show about the stars and planets. It was really interesting and made me think about maybe becoming an astronomer someday.

When we got back home, I had some lazy days too. I read a few books, played video games, and hung out with my friends at the local pool. We had a blast swimming and playing water games. I also practiced playing the guitar, which is something I really enjoy.

Overall, my summer break was fantastic. It was a perfect mix of adventure, learning, and relaxation. Now, I’m excited to start the new school year and see what’s in store!
