The restaurant was busy, with the sound of chatter and clinking silverware filling the air. We were seated at a booth near the back, and our waitress came over with a big smile. "Hi there, I'm Sarah and I'll be helping you today. Can I get you started with some drinks?" My sister and I both asked for sodas, while my parents ordered coffee.
As we looked at the menu, we could see the chefs working hard in the open kitchen, flipping burgers and stirring pots of soup. Sarah came back with our drinks and some warm bread for the table. "Are you ready to order, or do you need a few more minutes?" she asked. We all placed our orders - I went for the chicken tenders and fries, my sister chose the mac and cheese, and my parents both got the special of the day, a grilled salmon with vegetables.
While we waited for our food, we played a game of tic-tac-toe on the paper placemats. Before we knew it, Sarah was back with our meals. "Here you go, let me know if you need anything else!" she said cheerfully. The food was so good, we all cleaned our plates. Sarah checked on us a couple of times, refilling our drinks and asking if everything was okay.
When we were done, Sarah brought the check and my dad paid with his credit card. "Thanks for coming in, have a great day!" she said as we left the restaurant. We all agreed that we would definitely be coming back soon.
